Quick review of the Jugnu Wasim parlour...
My first visit to the parlour and I was impressed, not by the decor (though the reception is nice) but by how good the receptionist is at her job; friendly, informative, persuasive, but not pushy. I researched parlours before I went, I dont like Depilex or Nikhaar because IMO their makeup is 1. outdated and 2. far too matt/dry looking. And I was only considering daniellas and Jugnu, and Daniella turned out to be too far away.
I book (for 28k rs mehndi, mani pedi and facials inclusive) to be made up by Jugnu himself.
One thing I have to mention is that I HATE being made up, I honestly get sick of being pampered, I hate facials, they take too long and I am the queen of impatience. BUT I LOVED it when the girl (who was soo friendly) gave me my mani pedi. Her massaging my arms and feet felt damn good. I hated the facial, but that's because I get sick of waiting for masks to dry etc, not any other reason. Again the girl who did this was lovely. The girl who waxed my arms legs underarms and bikini line was teh only person in that parlour who wasnt nice, she wasnt horrid, but not nice either.
Come my big day and Jugnus ridiculously lovely (possibly/probably gay) assistant starts to get me ready. Now one thing I am VERY anti, is being made white. I'm not white, I LOVE not being white, thank you. I tell him this; he makes me lighter than I am, but not by too much , I do complain and my cousin confirms he ought make me darker, so he does, but still, I wouldve liked to have been made exactly my skin colour. Afterwards I get my hair done (that means backcombed the hell out of) and then finally sit in front of the man of the hour. He is actually LOVELY. He kept calling me bachu... I liked that.
The only downside was that he honestly spent soooo much time doing me, like I was his pet project, this, yes, made me feel special but I was getting calls constantly to hurry the eff up. THANKFULLY, my husbands mates being so happy for him, delayed the baraat by continuously dancing for hours. Meaning that, though I was two hours late, so were they.
all in all, my experience of the parlour was a really good one. I didnt LOVE my makeup, but that's honestly because I am a fussy cow. But I preferred it to both my cousins makeup from Depilex and Nikhaar. Each to his own.

Oh last thing, the two guys who did my mehndi did an amazing, fast efficient, clean and effective job of adorning my arms. I would definitely recommend you get your mehndi done from a parlour who does "erk/erc" mehndi on your baraat day, because it looks awesome on the photos.

I got married in Jan 2011 alhamdulilah and being from isl also had the hard decision of choosing between Jugnu, sobia and Allenora...
I eventually went with allenora and got my make up done by the head of the isl salon Lehmia Jafri !!! My friend who was a jugnu bride herself but when her sister got married 2 yrs later she went for Lehmia and she looked stunning !!!!!!! and I am proud to say I was also a allenora bride on both days !! lehmia is the perfect artist even when she has 10 bookings in one day she ll give u individual attention and u dont feel like ur sitting in a bridal factory like with other parlours ! she does everything herself if u go for her signature package like I did, it costs 25 , 000 each for both days or 30,000 for one !
she ll handle every last detail including over seeing ur eyebrow threading and ur clothes and dupatta arrangement !! she even gave me the lipstick and lipgloss to take with me to touch up and then return even on the valima !! i dont know how many parlours do tht, she ll also re touch u up even when ur headed to sit in the car to make sure u look perfect !!!
i did alot of research and went to all the parlours... sobia wont even meet the brides for bookings , u just book at the counter and she sometimes has 20 brides during the busy season and ur all huddled into one room where shes going from one bride to the other, doing ones eyes then the nexts, not even stopping to see wht color ur dress is or anything and ur done in like 1.5 hours no joke !!!! lehmia called me in at 2 started at 2.30 and i was done exactly ontime for my 7 -7 30 pm departure... and no im not a relative LOL Im just an extremely happy client and so was my hubby mashaAllah!!!
if anyone wants her no Ill happily give it !!

Shorten the name of the picture - that may help and no spaces or symbols in the name.
