For those that bought gold jewelry in Lahore which shops did you buy them from? I don't think big heavy sets should be given to brides these days because all they do is sit in the bank locker for years and years. The only time you get to wear them is when someone close to you gets married. My bhabi for her brother's wedding they made the bride small gold sets with gemstones to match her suits. That way they gave her enough jewelry so ppl wouldn't say they were cheap. I think that is a better idea at least she wears it more often.

Actually it will be in Emeralds and sterling silver with very good quality ADs which will cost me $1090. One more thing Romika told me this will come with nice matching Tikka as well. Romika even emailed me emeralds in 2 diferent shades to get my approval and I chose the one matching my outfit.
I am very excited about it.

Hey fashion Trendz, thanks for your reply. I appreciate it, I really am not all that fond of teh dimanite look, I know its quite in fashion right now, but I wanted to do the more traditional kundan and gems look. My inlaws have given me a gold set already for my engagement, and will be giving me more gold for wedding, but I just dont like the look of yellow gold on my reception outfit, looks blahh. Thansk anyway though, if you have more suggestions or anyone else please do reply. I am in need of a big nath as well, the Jodha Akhbar kind that aishwariya is wearing. Looks so feminine....I love it. Any ideas?:)

There is a famous jeweller in Karachi by the name of Hassan Ali Javeri who specialises in Kundan jewellery - this set is by him.

its lovely, but then do a v-neckline so the necklace sits nicely on it… it wont work with a round neckline as well. and i guess its a pet peeve of mine when necklaces in that shape overlap the neckline… it looks very non-symmetrical and off.

I just gave you the contact for Romika Jewels telling you they build the piece the way you want. When I spoke to Romika she told me their company has units based in India where various types of jewelry is beind made and they are doing lot of custom order in Kundan as well. She sent me 1 Kundan design with rubies but I wanted the one I choose. I don't know how to attach the picture otherwise I would have.
Trust me that I tried so many places but only her company does custom orders. Problem is when you go to stoes you meet only shopkeepers but since she is a designer she can do things which I found others cannot.
There is no harm in calling her and asking since I don't know anybody else to suggest.

some are really pretty but i want to see some with dhoni.................
