a bridal bed set is a complete bed in a bag sorta thing... bedsheet, pillow case covers.. bedspread, extra pillow case covers for additional pillows..
my mom had 2 made for me.. with jamavar silk, chiffon georgette.. the edges were chatta patti (is that the word??).. and the middle chiffon georgette in plain.. which was then embroidered .. gorgeous...
u dress up the bridal bed with the said bridal bed set.. but use it afterwards too like you would any other bedset.. its a hassle but since my mom spent so much time and effort on it.. i throw all the cushions and bedspread on every morning and take them off every friggin night... must we have so many cushions and pillows my husband asks... ahh. poor simple soul.
