As per pictures, it does look like he is dead… unless he had clones like Saddam did 
The big question is… as ehsan bhai already asked: will the insurgency die with him? As they claim it would with capture/death of Saddam, but we all know it didn’t happen… so guess who is the next top-enemy!

Did Afghanistan terrorists stoppped their activities after kabul was "delivered" from talibaan? No
Did terrorism disappeared after some guys were sent to Gitmo? No
Did Irak sunni insurgency stop after Saddam arrest? No
actually more terrorism spread from nowhere (madrid and london balsts, irak civila war) after those arrests...
so Zarqawi death is a bad news....it means more guys will try to follow his footsteps

hopefully this will mean that the crazy pace of killings in iraq will slow down now or hopefully end. 1700 died last month due to the internal strife of which he was a big participant, promotor, architect..
Hopefully there will be a little more peace for avg Iraqis if zarqawis movement gets disorieneted now

Good riddance to one more monster. Someone else will take his place, but so what... unless the folks in Iraq do not say "enough bloodshed", the Americans will stay and the insurgency will continue. Unfortunatly these insurgents do not seem to care that they are killing thier own people. The coalition forces have killed a only fraction of the number of people the insurgents have killed. They seem hell bent on destroying thier own little world. So let them. The coalition forces will stay too. The US is in there, now they must finish what it started. If only the insurgents would understand that and let thier own people rebuild thier lives. Unfortunatly that is not important to these monsters. Selfish and immoral! Terror and Force has never won a lasting prospertity. Eventually it is discussion and debate that ensures peace.

Arabs never had a significant role in anti-communist war. Osama and others showed up at the very end when communists were already pulling up their stakes.
CIA or ISI link to these Arabs may have been there. However equating role maximum 400 Arabs the role of 25,000 Afghan Mujahidin (and equal number of Pakistani Mujahidin) is nothing but misrepresentation of the facts.

That is a very good question. It is one that I have been thinking about quite a bit. I heard on the radio, that people in his hometown were sad he died. His relatives said he was a hero. Another Jordanian, not Iraqi mind you, said he was bad because he killed Muslims along with the infedels.
So, it seems, for many, beheading is ok as long as it is not a Muslim.
