It just means that the society/people/state of Pak need to get of their asses, stop asking for divine help, and solve this Islamist menace with concrete steps in the real world. What these steps may be, I am not an expert, but sitting around for God to 'help us' isnt working. Is it?

By this I mean praying without other action is ineffective. Pray for Allah to make successful concrete plans, but having those plans is key.

Well that's more like Christians idea of God.
God don't come downstairs to help. Ppl who follow him(with open eyes), usually see his will.
For THOSE people he is greatest source of guidance. Clearly most of our nation + plus our leader are not of that group.

What can these 'civilians' do, that was my question. You cant expect them to go marching up north into FATA. All they are doing is praying, in their houses, and I dont think you and I should be criticizing them, because they are praying for this death and destruction to stop, even if you think its ineffective.

I understand they cant go and march. They can oppose it ideologically and support the state, which some do. Its a start.

^ So to do that, they have to give up praying or remembering God? I am trying to understand where the whole 'why do they pray to God' notion arise from.
