a 15 foot deep and 20 feet wide crater at the site of explosion
that must have been a very powerful bomb.
and ironically the city was on high security today because of the President's address to the Parliament, and all the high profile people present.
a World Bank delegation too, that makes sense....

The PM house is also besides Marriot which is said to have been harmed. So the motives might have been multi-dimensional.

Reports that the bomb was 80 to 100 kg making it he biggest suicide bombing in Pakistan.
Intelligence agencies saying that had indication of an imminent attack either on the parliament or the PM house and the security in those places was very tight and therefore the bomber might have chosen marriot hotel.
The PM house is also besides Marriot which is said to have been harmed.
PM house is 2-3 KM away from hotal
there are other houses like Punjab House, Sarhad House, Blochistan House etc

all these houses are on the opposite side of the hotel i wonder if they really got damaged :( though my office was just beside the hotel pata nahi uska kia haal hua hai

According to reports a car first crashed into the gate and than a truck came and the blast took place.
Most of the causalities are of the security guards and car drivers.
It is the biggest terrorist attack on Pakistan.
A message has been sent by these brainless terrorists to the people of Pakistan.

I dont know how many of you are watching it on TV but GEO is showing a man and a child on one of the top floor room balconies standing there to be rescued while the whole hotel is on fire. May Allah save them.
