Sports and entertainment is still there as long as they don't show the news. Geo is still in contacts with authorities in Dubai and Pakistan. They are negotiating, once it is done they will be back on, within a week may be.

the channel is still coming but without the news...so now we cant even find out what the truth is and knw whats happening in the world.....i dont think uae should have listened... on dm last night liquat malik was saying that if geo want to air their news they can use one of my channel......

I don't know whether they think we're morons or not, but they're SHOWING THE NEWS!!!
Literally, I see the news on GEO. And underneath news coverage, I see a ticker saying "Dear Geo Viewers: Due to unavoidable circumstances, we are unable to show you Geo News"

Any UK folks noticed that GEO at sky 815 has been broadcasting regular hourly news intermittently throught out yesterday despite the closure.
Anyone knows the details? whats happening ?
I hope the service is restored or has it been restored already?

The president of GEO TV Network Mr Imran Aslam has asked the concerned authorites to allow 5 minute news bulletins to be broadcasted on GEO TV in UK/Europe/USA.
GEO TV was also due to launch GEO NEWS channel today in the UK.
They have gone ahead with launching the channel and can be found on channel number 825. However as GEO NEWS is no longer operating they are showing programmes from GEO USA.

i know that was kinda stupid that musharraf was house arrest but that wasn't his news some one probably told him that.
i don't think that his shows are one sided,he more is against government but it's still the truth which can't be kept scretive

Geo News transmission resumed, just saw their first bulletin at 10:00PM.

Transmission is available on Satellite over the world, but not on cable in Pakistan yet.
