Darrell Hair has offered to resign as an elite umpire in return for a payment of $500,000, Malcolm Speed, the ICC chief executive, told a press conference in a hotel near Lord's.

But in reture the following should take palce FIRST.

1. Inzi should be cleared for any fine and any match ban.

2. Pakistan team should be cleared of tempering the ball insident.

3. The match should be stated as draw instead of forefiet because it wad Hair dcided not to go ahead with the match even though ICC was ready to resume the match.

Malcolm Speed is already defending Hair saying he is not a dishonest person. So, I guess deep inside Speed knows Hair is dishonest.

Wasn't it last week where people defending him said he was a strong umpire and a man of principle who wouldn't bow to anyone to uphold the law. I guess he put the price of the law at only half a million bucks.

Sorry one part I missed in the above statement he said “Details of which must be kept confidential”.

“Not kept confidential” but “must be kept confidential”.

ICC doesn’t think it was a ploy to make money by Hair, he was under stress, he thought he was helping ICC by asking for money and resigning.

Let me help my employeer too. Let me write them a letter and ask for half million $, i hope they will also have same sentiments towards me and not kick me out before lunch today ! lol
