Aik baat suno bhai sahab. YES. Dhamake and suicide bombing DID exist. I can recall the first one in 89. My Chacha and his sons worked as doctors for Eidhi foundation. They would sometimes go into shia mosques and ahmedi places of worship in small villages and towns to administer health shots to the poor. They faced 7 attacks from 89 to 97. They stopped after one of my cousins passed away from injuries in one suicide attack. Before 9/11, extremist sunni factions/taliban OPENLY did this to minorities. They weren’t condemned and no one cared because it didn’t bother the mainstream pakistani population.
