Very sad, the fact that shes a mother of three innocent kids makes this news very hard to digest. I think its time to leave behind our differences and crackdown at the religious bigots who did this.

IM shocked - I have no idea what to write other than a multitude of things.
i dont feel that much sympathy for her for what she has done to pakistan in the past and i dont think she will ever have changed her spots.
i hate to see her go like this as it just shows how WEAK and INSECURE pakistan is UNLESS someone behind it.
ithink as muslims or any other religion we shouild pry for her - she made mistakes but she is dead now. may allah forgive her. may the people be bale to forgive her

There is a bigger hand behind all this. Rag tag mullah movement cant do all this. This is very methodical destabilisation of Pakistan. People will draw emotional conclusions but I am not convinced that Musharraff had anything to do it with it or Al-Qaeda.

Very sad news indeed....everybody in the country is totally numb with shock.....she was a part of our lives for such a long time....you may or may not agree with her politics.....but she has written a new chapter in our history and will always remembered as a very brave lady....

**Their was a suicide bomb, then firing on her motercade. Five shots were fired, she is dead while giving emergency aid.

How can we possibly have free elections in this environment of violence? Is it even worthwhile holding elections when the leader of a one of the country's main political parties can be openly assassinated while campaigning like this?
Elections should be postponed until security is re-established, lest there be more killings of politicians who advocate hard action against religious militants as Benazir did.
I disliked and hated Benazir as a politician... but in her death in this way, she has become another shaheed for Pakistan, and is amongst those rare handful of people who have given their lives for democracy in our country.
