we shudnt say anything to the deads,
and as u say,she was a Mother,a Sister,a wife and a friend too....
just think for one moment, how many mothers n sisters n wives n fathers n brohters had she and her husband killed during their reign....?
how many were made orphans juss coz of her?how many starved to death just coz of her?
sooOOOOOO many they were....
but stilll it is sad......
Benazir bhutto neva even spared her bro..the blood relation..the only brother she was left wd at that time.....she killed him tooo.....i wonder if fatima bhutto will be happy or not? how do u feel at the death of ur father's killer?
but Mir Murtaza bhutto was also a killer, but then, their were other killers too,she only killed her real bro...

Inna Nillah he wa inna alaihe rajioon...
May she rests in peace!
thats a shocking and sad news... i woke up this morning and turned on the tv and that was the only thing they were showing..
i told this to my friends right after the first attack... it was totally predictable...
now it also brings the rest of the worlds attention to pak for wrong reason. critics are going off the hook ranting against pakistan....
not good for pak, not good for india, not good for anyone...
may her soul rest in peace..
If talibans are the actual terrorists and responsible for such attacks and if, they only understand the language of force, isn’t it justified that the Army used force to control them
i guess security council might demand an independent probe like in the case of hariri's murder. i hope things dont come to that. i fear enemies of pak will use this opportunity to spread malicious propaganda against pak and its institutions. already intl airways are filled with people talking crap. too bad pakistanis wont be able to unite at this critical juncture.
With Benazir herself identifying the intelligence and the 'ruling' party plotting to kill her, what else do you expect? Also, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain in the previous assasination attempt said that Benazir staged the October attack to gain sympathy. I wonder what he has to say now. We all know he and Elahi had an immense animosity against her, and he was not happy with Musharraf making deals with her, and they didnt forgive her for a PPP supporter killing Chaudhry Zahoor.
There should be an international investigation into this attack. Musharraf refused this in the previous attack in Karachi when there were clear links to his pal Brig. (R) Ejaz Shah. The fact that this guy got to shooting distance despite a police cordon suggests that thsi was an inside job. A jihadi may be the actual culprit but there is clearly some government involvement.
By killing Benazir, Musharraf gets all his goals - avoid a humilating defeat in elections, get international support for a new martial law and push back elections for a long time.
What a shame for us that such a lowlife kameena is in power in Pakistan. He only cares for his power. He used MQM to kill innocents in May. He now uses jihadis to kill off a flawed but popular leader. Musharraf will have to pay for this sooner or later. I will distribute sweets on the day Musharraf meets his ugly and deserved end. May Allah swt save our homeland :(
I was never a fan or supporter of hers, however, this represents the extreme of lawlessness in Pakistan, and I am convinced that Pakistan is a failed state and is a completely hopeless case.
This is probably not a job of the terrorists (Al-qaeda as such), and I believe they are just being used as scapegoats in this situation. It's like they already have someone available to 'bame it all on'.
The agencies (ISI, IB, MI etc) executed this with the go ahead by President Musharraf, who himself was under pressure by Chaudhry brothers to do this. Musharraf was under extreme pressure by the west and US to select or 'elect' BB as the new Prime Minister, and had she stayed alive, she would've become the next Primie Minister. Chaudhry brothers did not like it one bit, and Musharraf himself was weakened recently by giving up him Army post. Had she been elected as the Prime Minister, she would've become a strong Prime Minster, which could've been a threat to Musharraf.

It has been never proven that she killed her brother or ordered his killing, and her brothers killing only helped get rid of her regime. Please stop this hatred, shes dead now!

Taleban are turning Pakistan into another Iraq. I hope the Taleban sympathizers and conspiracy theorists realize that postponement, or cancellation of elections goes against the ruling party's plans. Of Musharraf's, because he had already become President and just needed a PM to keep the country running, and of all other politicians because they are losing an opportunity too. The people who benefit from this are Taleban and AQ.
Musharraf was proving too difficult to assassinate, so they went after Bhutto, who was relatively easier. Musharraf gets the blame and becomes ineffective. Two birds with one stone!
Sad to see Taleban sympathizers letting the country be pushed into civil war over their hatred for Musharraf.

benazir also said that (1) iaea should have access to qadir khan and that (2) americans should be allowed to move into fata. so if we go with bb's propsal on independent tribunal on bombing, then we should also listen to her on (1) and (2).

Enemies of Pak can't do a thing to this nation, they can only exploit the weaknesses. The weaknesses are not people talking, the national discourse, the media, the accusations or counter accusations as that would be the predictable fodder for discussion in any country in such a situation. Rather, it is our internal weaknesses: the weakness of the body politik, the representative institutions, lack of national confidence in leadership, A dictatorial leadership which has made Pakistan a proxy banana republic, a joke. Pakistan has reached its lowest popint in history. Not 71, not kargil, not the 8 year psuedo religious dictatorship of the 80's had the country been so morally deprived, in flames, divided and maligned than today.
I predicted this back in 2002, when I left these forums. But life is full of surprises, when you think the country has reached its lowest point, another nader is reached.

Why are you so scared of an independent inquiry? Btw, the woman died. As for AQ Khan, we all know what would 'show up' if hes interrogated by the american, and its not good for the big bad ex-dictator.
Had she been elected as the Prime Minister, she would've become a strong Prime Minster, which could've been a threat to Musharraf.
in fact she would have been the ONLY PM who would have the courage to stand up to musharaf since she had the US support. By taking her out musharaf's and army's control has been solidified.
The USA, bush and cundileza Rice thought they were smart in bringing her in just as musharaf seemed to be waning. They forgot things happen a bit differently in Pakistan
