Yes it does matter. When the entire security apparatus of the country is devoted to supressing the Lawyers Movement the CJ and fixing the upcoming elections how do you expect to combat terrorists.
Thats not too mention that many suspect some hand of the intelligence agencies in this violence.

Musharaff did not increase the violence, he exposed it at the right time. If the body is asymptomatic (like Pakistan more or less was, before Mushraff took the seat, other than suicide bombing in mosques every two months or so) it does not mean that the disease is not progressing.

The disease of radicalism was slowly creeping into different parts of the country and engulfing people’s thought process before they knew it. The violence did not increase because of Musharaff, any government that hurdles in the path of al-kaeda mission of spreading the seed of hatred among ethnicities and shoving their ideology of orthodox Islam down people’ throat, would suffer the consequences. Mushraff is just a messenger, don’t shoot him.

Now is the time to recognize the problem, raise awareness in our minds, and openly condemn the manipulation of Islam, openly condemn the bloodshed of innocent civilians, stand against evil, spread the truth. We need to fulfill our individual responsibilities as a muslim and as a Pakistani.

Totaly agree with you! ENuff is enuff this needs to stop, we cannot have inncoent people dyeing like this on a daily basis. Instead of balming musharraf for the upsurge in violence, lets look at the reality. Fundamentalism has been creeping into our country for a while as restless said, and its been ignored for 2 long, and events like this are sadly the result of our denial and ignorance of the issue. Education is the key to getting through to these brainwashed losers :mad:

There is sympathy for such ideology in the security forces and the terrorists have inroads into ISI as well. I remember reading an article in Dawn which said that ISI was wary since its agents get killed in waziristan all too often.

It is kind of like the situation the security forces faced at the peak of khalistan movement in the eighties. This indian guy from another forum told me that they had cases of officers in the army who were caught sympathizing with the khalsa chief. Pakistan needs the lists from whoever is controlling these people.

So sad...another incident with apparently no motivation....but to make Pakistan suffer....and if Pakistanis can see what is happening....it's all about breaking unity of Pakistani nation.....however I would like to point out in these testing times we always get united....just like earthquake tragedy....I hope these incidents help us recognise the need to get united more than ever...and feel the pain and suffering....

The security apparatus is what is actually causing the bomb attacks - Sometimes helping the religious extreme crowd and other times on their own.

Neither musharaff nor anyone else in politics have any control over the 'security apparatus".

This is clear beginning stage of anarchy where you cannot distinguish between a criminal and prosecution, cop and robbers, religious morality vs immorality.
