It's times like these where I am so glad we have the death penalty.
To tell you the truth this case is making me sick...these so-called "honour killing"..I HATE that word. There are many women in pakistan (poor and live in rural communities) that are killed by their own husbands.....but no one does a thing about it. I cannot recall one specific article or example....but it does happen..
however, in Afreen's Baig case, since they were from a rich and affluent family, then only the husband is charged....
I know it is a terrible thing of what happened to her...and the outcome is deserving..but i wish the same outcomes could occur to all the husbands, brothers, and fathers killing the woman in their life, so at least these women could rest in peace.
i think it's a cop out hiding behind 'honor killing'.. i don't think he'd have done it without the money..
