love breakfasts, weekdays its usually a fruit and yogurt smoothie after my run/gym, followed by cereal or oatmeal featuring even more fruit.
weekends are elaborate, and i often have friends over for my experiments with various traditional breakfasts - desi and otherwise. latest obsession - frittatas.

Ooh,yes, once a year, around spring/summer time I do a big brunch with friends, with cholay, aalu, qeema (dum and/or achari),shami kebabs, karahi chicken, parathas and pooris.Plus massive jugs of lassi and shakes.I'm usually up at Fajir to get it all ready. We have it out in the garden, with informal tables dotted about.
Reha.....you should try porridge or oatmeal as you Amreekans say .It's lovely made with milk and fruit added :).
Just make a roti a bit thicker than your normal chappati..
Place 2 Tbsp of desi ghee and *shakar *(the desi brown sugar) 2-3 tsp on it while it's still very hot and fold it.
Let it sit for 1-2 mins, the ghee and shakar will melt down in this time.
Now start breaking the bread in small pieces and then squishing it between thumb and fingers until it breaks down to really small pieces and everything is mixed well. You have to do it while the roti still warm, it burns a lil but is much easier than trying to squish a cold roti.
If you don't have shakar you can use plain white/brown sugar. If you don't have desi ghee you can use butter but never vegetable oil. Also if you want the roti to be softer use a bit of desi ghee while making paira.
Some people make it in a food processor to keep their hands from burning but I prefer the handmade version. I make it religiously every weekend, if I remember will take pics and post :D
i am very consistent about my breakfast...for 1 month i can stick to one menu@ breakfast...
but i usually go for...
2 multi-grain or brown bread slices with Meadowlee(unsalted and cholestrol-free) and Masala chai or ellaichi wali chai..
apple-cinnamon whole grain cereal with low-fat milk but i am not a big fan of cereals:-/
on weekends...traditional pakistani omellete stuffed with mozzarella cheese or 0 % fat cheese slice alongwith 2 brown slices and coffee/ellaichi wali chai or home-made halwa chana poori or just coffee with brown/multi-grain slice
these days....1 cup plain low fat yogurt...1 plain brown slice or with meadowlee...1 glass orange juice ...2 bananas(optional)
