Re: Brazillian Wax
Anyway, back onto topic ... it does hurt, but it all depends on which area you are waxing. Certain parts hurt more than others.
I wax my own armpits and it doesn't hurt for me. Other body parts hurt more ... including the part on my inner legs above the ankle, half way below the knee. That kills me the most. Not other body parts.
Sidra, why don't you test a piece yourself to see if you can handle it?
Personally, I don't trust anybody else to use wax on me. I would rather do it myself.
but you cant do a brazillian wx on yourself.
Re: Brazillian Wax
EPILLATOR or whatever the heck it is is a definite no no down there trust me!
Re: Brazillian Wax
hey isnt it haram to show your body to others? even women arent allowed to see u downthere
Re: Brazillian Wax
It is very possible AE. :halo: All it takes is some practice. Once you get used to it, you can pretty much wax yourself anywhere you need to.
Re: Brazillian Wax
When i was visiting my cousin in Saudi Arabia.....she told me that women there are not allowed to remove hair any other way but wax. And the poor thing use to cry during the process. Everytime we visited her we would take hair removing creams because that is all she wanted us to bring her. She told us that hair removing creams are banned in Saudi. Their wax is actually different....it comes in lil pails and you take a lil piece and rub the area with it and keep rubbing it until the hair attaches to the wax and removes. I tried it and it did not work for me.
Also, i have heard the more you wax...it becomes painless after a few years.
Re: Brazillian Wax
yes you can

That sounds like sugar wax. People make it at home and it apparently works. An Egyptian girl I used to know was also in favour of that practice.
Re: Brazillian Wax
I think the pain becomes more bearable for the underarms after the first time. The first time hurts more because the hair is thicker and hurts more when being pulled out of the roots. Same goes for the bikini line as well.
Mehnaz is right, the wax arabs use is called sugar wax or halawa'a.
Re: Brazillian Wax
Don't you go see a doctor, male or female? Removing hair down there is not only healthy but is a religious duty, so I don't see why wud it be haram, if you are only getting the hair waxed. No hanky panky ;)
Re: Brazillian Wax
It will never be painful enough to deter me ![]()
Brazalian wax :k:
My friend had laser hair removal on her entire body recently. I was all for it until a certain someone
told me about risks and side-effects. Not too sure anymore.
As for the gunnah factor, well don’t the docs get to see ur body during child birth? Its not like ur showing it for pleasure or something ![]()
Re: Brazillian Wax
showing your body during childbirth is different. You really don't have a choice. You do have a choice of selecting a female doc.
Re: Brazillian Wax
Mahru no one is going to a male waxer now are they? Well atleast i hope they are not. I believe hair removal is for hygiene which is an integral part of religion. If it is something one cannot accomplish on their own then going to a professional shouldn;t be sinful. Similarly going for a laser hair removal to get rid of them once and for all in my opinion is okay. Agay Allah knows better.
Re: Brazillian Wax
Femme: I also hope no one is going to a male waxer:) And, yes, keeping your body clean is an integral part of religion but i was not even arguing about that....
I was just saying going to a doc is different than going to a salon. I, myself go to a salon to get various things done but just in my opinion i think it feels different when you are at a doc's office than you are a salon.

Why the helll would hair removing cremes and shaving be banned ???
Re: Brazillian Wax
i just dont see how one can!! i dont think i could
Re: Brazillian Wax
^ It just takes some practice. It's best to start off doing a little bit at a time.
Re: Brazillian Wax
What are the side effects Femme?
Re: Brazillian Wax
Okay so how many days of growth after shaving r u able to get a wax?
Re: Brazillian Wax
Same rules apply if you were waxing your arms Sara. You just have to make sure the hair is long enough for the wax to be able to pick up the hair.
