reminds me of my professor in univ. her grand daughter asked her to buy diesel jeans for her. and the prof said, honey if you want a $250.00 jeans, then you better have my name on your butt pockets.

...goes to show, how unhappy grand parents are to this sense of purchasing expensive things that teens have no idea about as to how much they cost.

yea I agree. I wouldn’t go for a $200 product which I can get from other places for less. Aik extra patti aur logo laganey ke itne paise

I would however invest in something useful like real estate (regardless of how small or huge the house is) because that is to secure something on the side and nothing wrong with making profit on stuff you worked hard to earn.

HHL, how is buying expensive $200 products compared to investing in real estate (houses)? I don’t see the connection… there isn’t any, money wise, amount of investment, amount of return, taxes, maintenance, the product, etc.

Maybe I am missing something here!

It was just an example. When you are talking about stuff like clothes, you know that once you open that packet and use it for awhile, the value is not gonna go up (unless ur a celebrity ofcourse lol). But spending money where it is worth and where you actually end up with profit is fine.

Definately not a brand freak… its not like stuff that cost less then a couple of hundred dollars is bound to be of bad quality… Quality doesn’t have to have a label on it to be good… or so my experiences have shown so far

Har aik ki financial heisiyat allug hoti hai, so there may be ppl who can easily afford Gucci purses for $1600, however those that dont should spend at least half a second to ask themselves if they are indulging in israaf or not
