Israel has enormous financial resources at its disposal. It would be literally impossible to pressurize the country through boycotts. The way to subdue Israel crosses from Washington and London. Diplomatic pressure is the only thing that may weigh on Israel. And for that to happen, you will need the US and the UK on your side.

You are correct that the change has to come from US or UK and that is the reason we should get involved in the lobbying efforts and civic outreach in the west. But I don’t agree that boycott wont help. Not buying these products will probably have a smaller effect, but petitioning these companies to cut down their aid to Israel will definitely have an affect. The $50B figure of US aid to Israel that is bandied around does not include the aid that these companies send to Israel and it is probably a few times that of governmental aid. It will certainly have an effect.
