It’s just not peer pressure or group dynamics. There are many factors like limited or new opportunities, tough competitions, bad company economy, incompetence etc etc which play a role. Gora would do it by passing unnecessary appreciation remarks like “you are teh man” “The man” “The big boss” or rushing to buy “rounds” when he is out with his bosses, and a desi would do it in a very obvious way and will get chastised by you and me.
