For such a big religion, it’s really strange we don’t have books upon books being written today on Islam. It’s a few books out there, mostly with the same regurgitated information.

Going to start looking into Hamza Yusuf’s written works, because that man really knows what he is talking about, and has taken a lot of his life to learn from the most learned dinosaur type scholars who have recently died in North Africa and other areas. Non-wahabbi type scholars, where I learn things in his lectures that I never knew.

What are some books that you’ve read that are modern-day written (not talking about Imam Ghazali’s works, etc from the classical era), but written today by modern scholars, that you thought were good reads?

There is books but we do not read them…so finding them available [from a non wahabi bookshop] is becoming rarer
