Bomb at Indian embassy kills 41 in Kabul

Re: Bomb at Indian embassy kills 41 in Kabul

But how ISI knows about India military attache?

Re: Bomb at Indian embassy kills 41 in Kabul

thats wat intelligence agencies are paid for...the travel schedules of diplomats and the arrivals of VIP's can be easily tracked by those who work inside the pak embassy in kabul.

these were the dirty tricks employed by both CIA and KGB during coldwar...

Stick to discussion at hand instead of beat around the bush, You said India was nutral… … Would you like to read more about Indian support for Russkies from a different source? Naaa that is not acceptable…right!!!

BBC NEWS | South Asia | India renews historic Afghan ties

For much of the past two decades, India has been wrong-footed in its Afghan policy.

In 1979, it was one of the few countries to support the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan - a decision which made the country vastly unpopular in that country.

thats nbot true, afghans love indians, i came across a ton of them and every one says the same

India did not comdemn the invasion in 79 and for that many in afgan thought india was supporting the invasion which infact was not true..it did not support the invasion either.. for many in afganistan it was a betrayal..

india knew that the invasion would eventually be a showdown between the super powers and is better not to get involved in the conflict .. unfortunately afgans thought otherwise..

Re: Bomb at Indian embassy kills 41 in Kabul

soviet invasion in Afganistn was due to the power struggle between Hafizulla Amin and Babrak karmal both part of PDPA ( peoples democratic party of afganistan).. karmal wanted supprt of the soviet union to strengthen the leftists who were also called the PARCHAM faction..

sighting the friendship treaty between both the nation states soviet union intervened to support karmal and Amin was ousted in the few months...India supported the intervention of soviet union and belived Karmal was the right choice as it would bring stability to the country but what unfolded later was beyond the imagination of soviet union and karmal...and the rest they say is history..

yes india supported the intervention of soviet union so did the factions of ruling coalition but after it became a war between the mujahideen and soviet union it remained neutral..should india have supported mujahideen?? upto the historians to interpret...

Either you have a comprehension problem or you are playing dumb..
Ask some one to translate the following for you..

In 1979, it was one of the few countries to ** support ** the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan - a decision which made the country vastly unpopular in that country.

Now you are contradicting yourself re: post # 13

He was captured inside Pakistan and not in Afghanistan … also he was held for 3 months & not a year

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/18/world/asia/18pstan.html?_r=1&fta=y&oref=slogin

Pakistan’s ambassador to Afghanistan, who was kidnapped three months ago by Taliban militants as he traveled in Pakistan’s tribal area, was released Friday night, the government said

His release was the most prominent one sought by the government as part of a broad peace deal it is expected to complete with the Pakistani Taliban within days. The deal has already involved an exchange of prisoners between Tehrik-e-Taliban, the umbrella group for Pakistani militants, and the army.

Deleted - double post

Do you know why Soviet union invaded in the first place???

Read the history before opening ur ASS...

READ BETWEEN THE LINES...india supported the intervention so did a faction of the ruling PDPA to ouster HAFIZULLA AMIN..

BABRAK KARMAL was made the president which furiated the islamists who believed soviet union was undermining the sovereignity of afganistan which eventually lead to the fighting between mujahideen and soviet union..

india never got involved in the conflict and remained neutral till the end..

u need to understand the difference between intervention and invasion..

Nail and Indian and see it squirm... Forget about soviet union, the question is you are makining statements and continue to contradict yourself.

Seems like you have an extrem comprehension problem, you keep on making statements that don't make sense... India supported but so did blah blah blah.... a change from India was neutral... Make up your mind instead of wasting bandwidth...

Re: Bomb at Indian embassy kills 41 in Kabul

from 79 to 81 kabul was relatively peaceful as PDPA was supported by soviet union and india..

the direct conflict between mujahideen and soviet union began in 81 and india remained neutral in that conflict..

why is it so difficult for u to understand this simple expalanation.. ur going in cicles ignoring the facts...

wat do u know about the conflict??? if u have no knowledge about the issue just lay off...

Read about the conflict and then debate....

^Here let me summarize your diatrabe.

1) India was neutral
2) Source was bad bery bad
3) India supported because blah blah support

That is the gist of your arguement the rest is all noise.

Indian foreign policy never goes against any country. Only Taliban like minded peoples hate India because they don't want the present government (Karzai) to succeed. India committed to rebuild war torn Afghanistan and will do so. India is not a ally of US in war against terror in Afghanistan but Pakistan is, for the same reason Afghanistanies hate Pakistan more then they do India. India just doing Humanitarian help of Afghan peoples (like building infrastructure).

Partly true about foreign policy...we are always the last party in recognising the ground reality..

I might add that there is also a consistent pattern of attacks on Indian road construction teams in southwest Afghanistan. These teams are constructing a road linking Afghanistan to the Persian Gulf via the Iranian rail and road network, which would bypass both Karachi and Pakistan's new port in Gwadar. This road also passes through the Baluch parts of Afghanistan and Iran, next to the Pakistani province of Baluchistan, where Pakistan charges India with supporting nationalist/separatist insurgents
