i just tried ctrl + & it worked.

No.It was pressin ctrl and the plus (+) sign which solved the problem.
For the blurred view press ctrl and the minus(-) sign more than once & you will see the blurred view of GS.

Maybe that is why its clear now.Because before the view was blurred and the font was smaller too.
