Let me tell you what a bloody month was. When the Germans pushed across the Don Steppe towards Stalingrad, each side lost a million men in the first month. THAT was a bloody month. The US lost 1,664 men so far in Iraq. The Russians would lose that many a day just because of frostbite.

An unbiased reader could only come to the conclusion that the pointless statemetents in this thread are coming from the right wing Islamist crew. It has been determined that Muslim blood is cheap and the "insurgency" is anything but. It is a group of foreign extremists and sunni arabs desperate to hold onto oppressive power. Soon, when the extremists are defeated and sunni arabs are forced to act civilized, everything in Iraq will be ticektee boo and then it will be time to help out the next oppressed people in line.

The “security infracture” was nothing less than the systematic imprisonment, murder, rape, torutre and displacement of the majority. Sorry, but the shias and kurds would disagree with your sunni supremicist point of view.

Strange part about this whole thing is that even if our objective were to kill a bunch of Muslim civilians in Iraq, we wouldn't have to waste a single bullet because other Muslims are doing it for us.
Maybe the Shias will see the light and decide to slaughter a few hundred thousand Sunnis. It's not really Muslim blood that is valued so cheaply in Iraq today by the Muslim thugs; rather, it's Shia Muslim blood that is valued cheaply. If the Sunnis are going to value the lives of Shias at 12.3% of the value of a US soldier, the Shias ought to make it clear that they value the blood of a Sunni at 12.3% of the value of a Shia.
This whole idea of Shia restraint is really not increasing the negative consequences on Sunnis for their actions. Sunnis don't presently have to worry about being dismembered in their marketplaces by shrapnel bombs. Therefore, they've got nothing to lose by harboring a suicide bomber or two in their neighborhood. My guess is that the Sunnis would beat the terrorist thugs to death in the streets if three of their children were killed for every Shia child murdered by a thug. Just a thought.
