Blessings of Qasidat al-Burda (Poem praising the Prophet)

Re: Blessings of Qasidat al-Burda (Poem praising the Prophet)

Famous bid'ah:

Open up the Holy Quraan and read Surahe Al-Fatiha (1). Once you have done that, note the notation (Harakaat and Iraab), which are essential for recognizing the pronunciation of words.

Harakaat and Iraab are Bidah and were added to the Holy Quraan by Hazrat Abu Haswat Dholi (ra), long after the earthly demise of the Holy Prophet .

Bidah is of many forms, and this one is not only Hassana but also Wajib. Today, you can not read the Holy Quraan without its punctuation. Yes, not even the "Bid'ah police".

**
Poem by the Hassan bin Thabit (r.a) (He was one of the Sahaba's btw.. Talk about big time "shirk"as you might say):**

When I saw his light shining forth,

In fear I covered my eyes with my palms,

Afraid for my sight because of the beauty of his form.

So I was scarcely able to look at him at all.

The lights from his light are drowned in his light

and his faces shines out like the sun and moon in one.

A spirit of light lodged in a body like the moon,

a mantle made up of brilliant shining stars.

I bore it until I could bear it no longer.

I found the taste of patience to be like bitter aloes.

I could find no remedy to bring me relief

other than delighting in the sight of the one I love.

Even if he had not brought any clear signs with him,

the sight of him would dispense with the need for them.

Muhammad is a human being but not like other human beings.

Rather he is a flawless diamond and the rest of mankind is just stones.

Blessings be on him so that perhaps Allah may have mercy on us

on that burning Day when the Fire is roaring forth its sparks.

^ did hasan bin thabit (ra) claim that he was getting some special blessings for reciting this poem????

or did the sahba go about telling the world that if u read this poem by hassaan then u will get something special????
they did not, it was a poem just like any other poems and poems do not bring blessings....
they knew that well and stayed away from associating divine importance to poems....

Re: Blessings of Qasidat al-Burda (Poem praising the Prophet)

In Islam, what ever good/Islamic act we do, we get sawab for it.

Re: Blessings of Qasidat al-Burda (Poem praising the Prophet)

^ doing sajdah is a good act....
but if done for other than Allah it becomes shirk....

helping others is a good act....
helping a tyrant becomes a sin....

its not the act but the belief and intention attached to it which make it good or bad....

Re: Blessings of Qasidat al-Burda (Poem praising the Prophet)

No Muslim does Sajada to none other than Allah. Since when do we Ahle Sunnah prostrate to anything/anyone else?

Re: Blessings of Qasidat al-Burda (Poem praising the Prophet)

Absolutely true.
If that Bid^ah - Innovation, complies with the Deen we take it and do it (Such as the Qur’an being dotted, and divided, second athan, salat on annabiy after adhan.. and such). And if the Bid^ah is against the deen then we reject it such as the innovation of Ibn Taymiah (Whom wahabisem based their ideologies on) who claimed that the world is eternal with Allah (he claimed the world had no beginning).

Why is tawassul shirk? Do you know who made that innovation? Wahabies. They claimed that tawassul is shirk.

Will the Prophet teach shirk??
Please search (in my posts if you like) and find the hadeeth of the blind man which Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam) taught him the real Tawassul.

Wahabies and those who follow them by saying Tawassul is shirk, are as if they are saying that the Prophet is teaching shirk. SO Beware of wahabisem.

Re: Blessings of Qasidat al-Burda (Poem praising the Prophet)

Did anyone find the transliteration of the Burda words?

Habibi Ya Rasulallah.
No one among Muslims claims or believes that Prophet Muhammad will create the benefit to you. But we do believe that Allah will make Prophet Muhammad a benefit to us, and asking Allah by the Prophet (Tawassul) is a reason to fullfill the needs.
