Bleach Creams ! ( abroad)

Re: Bleach Creams ! ( abroad)

Apparently HQ has side effects dangerous.......!

i use boots expert hair lightener too.... for the last 7 years. my face was always a little lighter than the rest of my body, i guess because my moisturiser has spf15. bleaching has not affected my skin in any way.

facial hair bleaches on the whole are safe but always best to do a little test to make sure your skin does not react. it's preferrable to waxing (for the skin).
they will not bleach the skin - they are not meant for this.
they will not increase hair growth - this is a myth! virtually all women get hairier on their faces over time (especially on the chin/upper lip region), even if they don't do anything to their facial hair.

skin bleaching however... that's another topic and not a good idea for the skin!

Yep, i agree..x

Re: Bleach Creams ! ( abroad)

HQ in high dosages (10%) found in creams used in Africa and India-Pak is dangerous. The ones prescribed in the US --4%-- is safe to use but with precautions. You must wear sunscreen always, dont use if for more than 3 months, (sometimes they say 1 month) to be on the safe side. The reason being HQ can sometimes make the area under treatment darker in some people due to prolonged use...hence the resting period. Prolonged use of high % HQ thickens collagen fibers which damages the connective tissue resulting in blotchy skin.

*2% (non prescription) is ok to use but again must use sunscreen at all times when outside.
(HQ alters production of Melanin)

^ In addition to what chanda said..please get a prescription for it..and apply it as per direction by u're derm.
