The state of Pakistan is so incredibly sad. These people are so imbedded in society, and have so much support, I don't see how we can get rid of them. The minute they lose their supporters, they can be wiped out. I don't see that happening anytime soon though. :(

Yes, indeed. He was great man and extraordinary scholar. His death is a great loss to Pakistan and the Muslim world. May he rest in peace & may Allah punish his killers. :(

It is sad day in the history of Pakistan, too many people died today, May Allah peace to all the souls.
Now that police has seemed to capture the head of suicide rat, next steps should be:
1) Investigate about him and find his family
2) Put ALL members of his family to jail in MISERABLE conditions for at least 10-15 years
3) Feed the head of this bas**** to dogs.
Make it VERY expensive for any would be suicide rats, so that they know after they die a rat death what is coming up for their families.
So sad that such a great scholar had to leave us because of these savage suicidal rats!
I have absolutely no sympathy for these savages, gas them ALL in the south- north Waziristan (Saddam style), our country can for sure do much better without couple of million rats.

^^ I agree... Not only that, need to issue warnings to the village/tribe elders that if any other of their person found involved in any other attack the assets/lands of the village shall be seized

Pseudo-Maulvi Umer, TTP spokesman has accepted responsibility for killing him and the attack on the PC. Once upon a time some believed that shariah in Malakand was their only concern.

Yes, that's right, act like Israelis. Clearly punishing family members has worked to bring Israel security.
The difference between us and the Taliban is that we are civilised. We don't punish the innocent by finding them guilty of association.
Actually, we did in East Pakistan in 1971 and that clearly worked out well for us then too.
Massive retribution may feel satisfying but is ultimately self-defeating. There is no solution but a massive military occupation, in conjunction with leveraging local forces such as tribal lashkars, and intelligence.
The struggle against modern-day Khawarij such as the Taliban who will gleefully murder Muslims and bomb masjids is not going to be an easy one. It will be a long struggle, it will be a hard struggle, and it will require the blood of many more shaheeds (inshallah) such as this brave member of the ulema, as well as from amongst the army.
This is not America's struggle. This is not the Pakistan government or army's struggle. The is the struggle of the Pakistani people ourselves, for our future.
In the past of the Ummah, there have been been countless members of the Ulema who have stood up for what is right and have been cut down for it. These sheikhs and maulvis were leaders and examples to all Muslims in their time, and in these days we need their kind to step forward once more and act as a guiding moral beacon to Muslims as we struggle exterminate the stain that is the Taliban.

Oh come on you are kidding right? Let's suppose those people are not included what would you do? Now what did you do when they were included in Pakistan and there were peace since 1947, what did you get till 2001? I don't want to mention the rest 7 or 8 years as it were very bad since the Americans came to the region and that's where the problems started.

When Dr, Gulam Murtaza, Mulan Hassan Jaan and many more were killed, there were no Talibans in Pakistan at that time, so who killed them? Remeber what Americans and Brits did to take control of Iraq? To make suicide bombings, there were hardcore proofs, they were injecting drugs to captured innocents, then they were to put a bomb-jacket to him and blow him off with a remote control once he has reached among a bunhes of people. They did the same thing by using motor vehicles and blow them off with remote control, and as a result the media would play the role by blaming it on Shia or Sunni and made them fight with each other, hence more bloodshed.

may Allah grant Sarfaraz Naeemi's family sabr and make things easier for them. Their interviews on TV are both mournful and proud, reflective of personal loss while contextualizing it in context of the armymen and civilians who have been killed by the taliban thugs.
