These days every other child is having a birthday party.. I wanna ask you! Did your family celebrate your birthday when you were young? or were they the traditional old school family who never did. Personally, never ever celebrated my birthday.
What do you think? Should one's birthday be celebrated? Leaving out the religious point of views please. Thanks.
I'm not sure what you mean by old-school, even the most desi-est of parents, have birthdays for their children..but those are usually meant for family get togethers...
i had the typical family get together birthday til i was in HS, and after HS, let me just say....birthdays have NOT been pleasant for me, haven't been for 8 years now. it used to bother me a lot then, why i could never have nice birthdays like i see others having but i dont' get anything (not talking about gifts here)
But now, at this age, what bothers me is WHY it bothers me. I really wish that i didn't care about celebrating and all that, but I do and it still hurts remembering the past years.
