I think perfume is good.. if she isn’t too close to you & you don’t know her likes/dislikes.. Otherwise, maybe go for something for the house.. like scented candles or a frame or something.

I wear hijab also,and I hate it when people send you boring presents like pashmina and boring books. I normally like funny presents from the joke shop

There are fart cushions, “crap - a - lot” sugar, stink bombs, mouse ears (she can wear this on the outside of her scarf, so everyone can see she has ears)
But I have a feeling she isn’t going to appreciate these presents as much as I do…ah well…,

Even if she wears hijab you can still get her jewelry, like necklace and earrings, because Im sure she must take off her hijab sometime no? Otherwise a nice bracelet or watch is also a nice idea. Or something nice for the house. Or like a home spa kit. Or a gift card if you can really think of nothing else

Unfortunately i have decided to give her some money instead. Pure reason being that whatever i have given in the past, i havent seen any of it being used and thats with the rest of the family too. So she can do whatever she wants to do with the dosh. Was thinking of giving her a giftcard but thats bit boring! I gave her something for the house, but i dont even see on the display so i might as well not bother.

well i dont know how much of a hijabi and muslim she is but...
infact women are not allowed to wear strong perfume and apply a lot of make up so no no no!!!!!
that is not good!!! as for jewellery umm umm yeah i guess but not heavy flashy kind.. thats not allowed as well as it attracts attention of the opposite sex which is a no no no..
so yeah any other brilliant ideas?? :S

ohkay what about a nice photoframe, my sister got one from laura ashley's from a friend and really its one eye catching frame!
You dont have to give her a expensive frame or from any specific brand , i would suggest to give her a frame it doesnt need to be expensive and u can tell her to put her nicest picture of hers and her husband or family , u will score a point with ur mother in law lol jokes aside the thought is what matters right! and if she doesnt appreciate sunset then she isnt worth the gift!
Btw i have gifted my inlaws with very expensive gifts that i wouldnt even buy for myself , but now i have come to a point that i dont even bother....they dont apprecieate so my advice never exaggerate too much or go overboard with your generosity ! i learnt my lesson
