i was on that one too and it worked really well for me- no side effects other than my skin looked amazing!

you can use condoms, you can get an IUD, you can even have little chips implanted into your upper arm like norplant, which release hormones monthly and are valid for 2 years at a time.
most bcp's are perfectly safe with only a few people experiencing side effects but if you feel anything, talk to your doctor and perhaps you can try a different brand other than Yaz/Yasmin.

and no, bcp's do NOT affect your fertility. this is a huge myth. ovulation determines pregnancy- if you have issues with fertility, you've probably always had them, regardless of whether you took bcp's or not.
