Hi,

I had another question - again a result of prolonged discussions with my parents.

Is birth control allowed in Islam?

I don’t know how well regarded Zakir Naik is over here - but here’s what he thinks:

It seems like permanent methods - sterilization for men/women are not allowed. What about condoms, IUD’s, morning after pill and the sort.

I’d also like to hear from members here who don’t know the official policy of their sect - lets say you get married and already have two children - or however many you thought you wanted - would you practice birth control to make sure you don’t have any more?
