I am pretty sure they'd release him. He is just a low level worker, and is not any kind of serious threat to anyone. Plus, this is just a test case to provide some legitimacy to these military court. If US decides to re-prison him after his 5.5 years are over (out of which he has already served 5 years) then what was the friggin' point of going through the trial. It will become a laughing stock around the world. Thats will be counter-productive for these trials. There is a primary PR purpose behind these.
