Either the elections were rigged in favor of PPP, odd, because that's the party the American government officials were making deals with...
OR
People have spoken. They don't want pseudo-Chaudry-Punjabi thekedaari like in some village. They want more secular and less ethnic-oriented leaders. I scoff when I say that, because there is no such alternative, but I guess people are voting out the status quo because the status qou wasn't getting much done.

^ PML-Q was never elected in fair elections. Everyone knows the previous elections were rigged. So this is an indication that there hasnt been mass rigging like the previous election.
Except for MQM bigots who always vote for mohajirs... and some tribal areas. I dont think there is any other ethnic group voting on racial lines. Punjabies voted for both PPP and PML-N. NWFP voted for both PPP and ANP. Balochistan for PML-Q and PPP. This was the case prior to Musharraf hijacking democracy as well. So I guess not much changed there.

This figures why the ANP, the super seculars, have won more seats than anyone expected.
Either way, I don't see any good in this election. Democracy will always fail pakistan at the polls because the uneducated people don't know who they vote for. The previous taliban loving, super corruption loving people are back. This is horrible. May allah save pakistan from them.
