Hi TLk,
From my Exposure to defination fo Biddah, Specially from Gushup; I think of Biddah as something that can be good or bad. If i remember correctly in last biddah thread biddah was defined as something that wasnt done at time of Prophet s.a.w even if means were available i.e Quran Khawani / Naat Khawani.

Exactly right, if means and needs were available and it was not done in the times of Prophet or Sahaba, then its considered Biddah

I think I read somewhere that Quran Khawani (reciting/finishing of quran in a group setting) and Qaseeda Khwanai (Naat is a special form of Qaseeda) was present in the days of Prophet. I need to find the source of that information.
