I think just like her conviction was politically motivated so is her acquittal. Don’t you think it can plays both ways.. After all some guppies were making that claim so I thought I give them the tatse of their own medicine.

Swiss tribunal acquits Benazir, Asif in SGS case

ISLAMABAD: A Geneva tribunal on Tuesday quashed the sentence awarded
to PPP chairperson and former prime minister Benazir Bhutto and her
spouse Asif Ali Zardari in the SGS case.
PPP spokesman Senator Farhatullah Babar told The News on Tuesday night
that the Tribunal de Police of Switzerland heard the opposition filed
by Benazir Bhutto, Asif Ali Zardari and Jens Schleglmilch against the
order of Swiss Investigation Magistrate Devaud, who proposed a
suspended sentence against Benazir Bhutto and Asif Zardari in the SGS
case.
He said Alec, the lawyer for Benazir, Zardari’s lawyer Lambo and
counsel for Jens Schlegalmilch, Poncet, were present before the
tribunal hearing the petition. Babar said the tribunal quashed the
order of the investigation magistrate. He said the tribunal’s findings
and its order, quashing the proposed sentence to Benazir Bhutto, would
now be communicated to the general attorney of Switzerland who will
decide as to what to do with the case.

A suspended sentence in Britain usually means that the accused are guilty but the sentence is deferred depending on other crimes. Is it really a case of acquittal?
If she is so innocent let her come back to pakistan and face the accusations against her!

So she ran away because she was'nt going to get a fair trial, or did she run away because of a guilty conscience!

With 11 years of brutal army rule in Pakistan with all PPP and Bhutto bashing on state media PPP still won the elections.. people know where truth is.. they know how so many generals looted Pakistan.. how afghan war wa sturned into official drug and drug smuggling affair.. why genrals and governers became biggest drug dealers in the world.. what happened in Ojri Camp etc. Why not try few genrals and their sons for achange.. Federal Commerce mininter and son of Gen Akhtar Rahmen with billions can be a good one to start with.. or all the corrupt leaders sitting under protection of Musharaf's lap.. should we try Musharaf for letting go Nawaz Sharif when he was under investigation with a "fair" deal!!!

Every general, from Zia to Musarraf, did his utmost to destroy PPP but it has survived somehow. Whether you like it or not PPP is a true political party and has its roots in the masses. Whether Bhuttos have their eternal right to lead it, is an another issue.

Youre right, but Zulfi Bhutto was the heartbeat of the PPP. Hes probably the best politician this country has ever seen.
