Brother, believe me … do not take me wrong. I appreciate people of Pakistan and their love for BB. Poor of Pakistan are not ahsaan-faramoosh. Z A Bhutto did a lot wrong for Pakistan but certainly he gave awareness and identity to poor of Pakistan. Many of present day Pakistani voters are aware of politics and value of their votes because of Z A Bhutto.
Aab uss kee baitee jaisee bhie hou … no one can take away love of her from heart of poor easily. So, no one deny her vote bank. But I think that her vote bank is spread all over Pakistan and it may not be enough to give her majority in NA, as in Pakistan system of ‘first past the poll’ being winner, she is very unlikely to win over 50 seats in next election.
You have to realise that even though PPP never won more than 50 percent seats in NA assembly ever (unless you look at 1971 election for W Pakistan (excluding Pakistan of that time) or take 1977 rigged election as example). You need more than 50 percent seats (simple majority in NA) to form government.
At present, I do not think that PPP would be able to take more seats than 2002 election (I might be wrong).
