There is a folklore from the Prophet’ life. One of his commanders had a good fight against someone who opposed the Prophet.
The opponent lost the ground and the commander of the Prophet put up his dagger at the throat of the opponent and shouted ….’Accept Muhammad as the last messenger of Allah or I kill you!’ This all took place in presence of the Prophet Muhammad. The story is silent if the Prophet, the messenger of peace, objected to these words.
Further story says that the opponent spat on the commander’ face… (You must know this story in detail.)
Sikh history says that the two sons of Guru Gobind Singh were given a choice…’Accept Islam or die!’….They rejected the offer and were buried alive in the wall.
Guru Teg Bahadur was beheaded after he rejected the same offer.
