even if I m bhai-zoned, I (immediately) assume that its -zaad (khala-zaad, phuppo-zaad etc) bhai-zone coz that leave people with options and option are good ;)

If I were a guy, I'd see this in a positive light. See it stems from a fear of their own subconscious.. ahem.. desires that they feel compelled to give it an innocuous name. (ok this sounds too bollywoodish....but then so are our girls)

once someone was trying to bhai-zoned me. I clearly said to her i like you in some other way so ultimately it would be a sin if you would call me bhai.

So, i am in “friend-zone” now a days and i am working on some tricks to get rid of this friends zone thingy too :wink:

Its just an intention thing, really. When you call someone your brother or sister your just implying that you dont think of them in any other way but respect them like you respect your bro or sis. That's why all Muslims are brothers and sisters so when interacting with one and another we keep that in mind and are not always looking at each other in any other way. Obviously, being a brother and sister in Islam is different than being biologically brothers and sisters and hence feelings can develop and if that's the case then it should lead to marriage. And again, besides the person your married to everyone else is your brother or sister. It's really just a way of setting limits, that's just how it is we are supposed to look at one another as brothers and sisters.
