Re: "bhai" "bhabhi"
I dont have enough desi friends to have experienced this.
Recently a friend of mine got married (desi) and I some times do call her husband "name bhai" when texting or something.
Otherwise, I'm the entire khandaans baji and it doesnt bother me at all. For me being called "baji" is just as normal as my name. All my younger siblings (5-11 years younger) call me baji at home. We call my eldest brother "bhai", he is the khandaans bhai, but his wife is "baji". I would actually like to start calling her "bhabhi" I might start soon. I find it cute. Bhabhi is just not used so often in my family. I wonder why? Everyone is basically called bhai, baji.
