Re: Best way to fight war is through dialogue, says Malala
BTW, if issuing a timely statement is that important, no one can beat Altaf Hussain. kisi ki billi bhi mar jae to unka taaziyat nama waqt per aa jata hai.
For all the cynics out there who keep lamenting that Malala stayed quiet on/didn’t publicly condemn this or that: Charity begins at home. Did Malala issue a statement condemning the Hazara genocide that’s going on in Pakistan with impunity? Let’s not forget that even on the eve of this Eid, as the rest of the country was preparing to celebrate, Hazaras of Pakistan were sadly burying their children murdered in cold blood.
Did Malala publicly condemn the mass graves and ethnic cleansing of Baloch people in their own land of Balochistan at the hand of Pakistani Army and its savage mercenaries? Did she* ever* issue a statement commiserating with the besieged Hazaras and Baloch of Pakistan?
No, she did not. And I don’t really expect that she does that either because Malala is known for her advocacy for universal education. She isn’t a superwoman or some kind of grandmotherly figure of the world who must take a public stance on every issue, tragedy or atrocity that bedevils the world, or even Pakistan. She’s an education activist, only 17 year old and still in school. Let her be.
