Best Friends Husband is a Lunatic!

My best friend is engaged/nikkah to this guy whose a complete lunatic. He is phychotically possessive, controling and crazy.

One day we were chilling at my friends place and we had 2 other friends over who drink. So my friend let them drink in her house- The thing is we were leaving so they only had 5 mins and to be honest they had like half a glass and that was it. My friend told her fiance/husband and he flipped out on her. He beat the friend up (it was 1 guy and 1 girl) He beat the guy up and cursed out the girl. Created a huge scene which was seen by all of us, including my friends family. Then he proceeded to say that he will leave her and how dare she let them drink in her house etc The thing is the Girl did not drink herself and the guy is accusing her of drinking a SIP! The guy himself drinks a lot- a few days ago he passed out drunk, just 2 days before this whole bizzare scene. My friend supported our guy friend and said to her husband that The guy did not drink and not to beat him up and had an argument about it with her husband and was very angry at her husband. My friend feels that an innocent person was beaten up for no good reason and that this guy she is engaged to is crazy and does not understand what the big deal is since he drinks himself.

He knew both the guy and girl- In fact on many occassions- Halloween, Bday parties etc he has had many drinks with the girl, who is our friend.

He is being a hyporcrite and sending her text message saying really mean things- Like you enjoy drinking and that he can not be with a girl who drinks, he does not want drama etc etc in his family

Obviously since the girls family saw the whole drama and found out that he had beat that guy up. The guys family found out as well and now blame the girl for supporting her friend. The Guy friend, did not really drink- fact is he might have had a sip or two (which should not be a big deal to somebody who drinks regularly) The guys family is acting all weird, they do not know their son drinks and my friend does not want to tell them and hurt them.

The guy is threatening her that he will leave her etc and she has like Sweared on Allah and the QUran etc that she did not drink, but he refuses to believe her. He is creating a huge issue out of something fabricated

He is emailing our friend (the girl) and saying OH I am so sorry for being batameez to you, but tell me if she drank or not etc etc etc and also cursing and calling her bad names etc. He has not contacted the guy he beat up at all.

The guys family is calling my friends parents and saying that Your daughter is so batameez, she supported her guy friend over her own husband, that she will desert her husband for other people and that How dare she let ppl drink in her house etc they are basically trying to make the girl look bad, without noticing the flaws of their own son.

He just wants my friend to admit that she drank even tho she did not. She has told him a million times for far and he is not believing her at all. Prior to this the girl has never lied, nor has a reputation of lying, she did not lie about not drinking either. But It seems that the guy might just want to get rid of her and is making a big deal.

This situation is so confusing and worthless but my friend has not slept nor eaten since this whole incident and has been crying a lot. Why is the guy doing this, when he drinks himself. Why is he accusing her of drinking when she did not drink. She got angry at him for curisng her friend is said YEa she had a sip and he is like I can smell alcohol on you etc etc etc. He is obviously lying about smelling alcohol on her, even a person drinks a glass of wine or half a glass or even a sip, can you smell it?

Has anyone ever experienced this ridiculous behavoiur, what should My friend do..

she wants to convince him that she did not drink as her reputation is on the line.

Why is this guy doing this!

basically what should my friend do!

Personally I want to punch the guy! He does not deserve my friend at all!

But they are married and she does not want her marriage to break over such pathetic-ness and specially not break because of lies. She does not want to ruin her reputation etc either. What should she do!
