i hope someone in Pak Affairs can provide some insight coz no one has heard abt this incident from the ppl i asked but my American ex classmate is writing some sort of report on Benazir and she insists this happenned and has asked me to get her details
she was saying that she heard there was some incident where benazir, while in power, was attending a national public event with full security n decorum etc, and zardari was there too and he was angry at her and umm slapped her on her face :o and then the army was there too and they all aimed their guns at zardari but then benazir said its ok
did this actually happen?
if so can u please provide details like when exactly and what the event was and where it was being held etc?
Irem ji actually it did happen, but not in public, but instead at the private residence(I'm assuming Bilawal house in Karachi). There were couple of news reports on this topic too, but unfortunately I'm having some hard time finding those articles online. But I never heard anything about army pointing guns at Mr. 10%...

I never heard of the incident, and it does seem odd that a serving Prime minister would slap her husband in a public gathering. She met one of my friend's family in Dubai and they decided to take a pic together. After the pic was taken, benazir exclaimed "Lets take the picture again. Nobody other than me smiled for the photo" Thats how aware she is of her surrondings. Just think. She was staring in the camera and still knew the expressions on other people's face.
Studied at harvard and oxford, you wouldn't normally associate these stupidities with her.

Irem is talking about it the other way.... Zardari slapping her, not her slapping Zardari.
I dont think Benazir is such a weak woman. She was a female prime minister of an Islamic state, which is quite an accomplishment, and not the weak hearted, slap accepting women

tshombe39, you are absolutely right, actually there was some news reports about her black eye, which she tried to hide by putting some make-up on, but apparently it did'nt work in this case...
