True....there is no such thing as a Hindu name Muslim name Christian name...A name is an identity...My parents kept names based on the meaning of the name...
If you're looking for unusual names with unique beautiful meaning, then you should take out a name from the Quran. Or from some other language
Of course there is!
Krishna qualifies as Hindu name because its a name of Hindu God, isn't it? Would you consider naming your kids after Hindu Gods if meaning is all what you look for? Probably not. Like you said, name is your identity, if you're a Catholic, you probably wouldn't go for the name Muhammad because that'll confuse people about your identity. So yes there are names with strong religious links as most of them are staright out of the Holy books or others are merely derived from language. Like there are Quranic names and Arabic names, names of

aside from names that are those of deities or attributed to a deity or very strong it does not matter.
There are tons of christians in arab countries with arabic names, while they would not name their kid muhammad, there are many with names that we see as names of muslim
Omar Sharif, who changed his name to that, is christian, Tariq Aziz..i know bad example..the former minister of Iraq is chrisitian, the fomous writer khalil Jibran was christian. Many names in iran which we now see as 'muslim' names existed before islam and have zoroastrian background, similar situations exist in turkey, afghanistan and even Pakistan.
I agree about that- what i said was PURELY in context of a 'beautiful and decent' names...since every name is beautiful in its own way, and a name is only an identification. This would probably lead to another topic of whether names started first, or religion...
^agreed. People have given you many good suggestions, including their own son's names. If you don't like the names, fine. But no need to insult the names.
kya kissi ko bhi beautiful name nhi aata??????????????
How about inventing your own brand 'new' name, since thats what you are practically looking for. Try mixing a Polish name with Spanish and French name, I'm pretty sure you'll get a very new and unique and 'decen't sounding name. Oh...don't worry about meaning, the name just had to sound beautiful and new to the ears.
