hey is the saithee masjid the one on the main road, (mansehra rd i think is what its called), with the PIA offices opposite it.

Kya baat hai! I went there about an year back. I am sure you would recall Shimla Pahari, Ilyasi Masjid. People you know there was once a time when there was a natural fountain that oozed out of the MAsjid’s sehen. Pal, correct me if i am wrong here.

mr gup shap thandiana is a place about an hrs drive from abbotabbad and its a veyr beautiful place…i have been there tooo. actually i belong to those mountains…

yes I thought so too, aisay hi nahi bachpan abbottabad ki galiyoon main ghoom kar guzra mera
but things might have changed, the last time i was in abbotabad was 5 yrs back and i only spent a night and we had to head out for Tarbela
but its an awesome place, so soothing and so calm. No rickshaws, no taxis no pollution
The only mode of public transport are those suzukis
I’ve been to shimla many times, and I can bet you all that they still havent finished that chairlift project

its Ilyasi masjid on the way to thandiyani…it was built over a stream of water that flows from the mountain. The mosque stills stands to this day and still has water flowing underneath it. In front of it is a little pond-like area in which people can ride paddle driven boats and u can see the pond in first pic.

n i kno that game ur talkin about,,, i even knew the name,,, but i guess i,ve forgotten,, n yeah that was a girl game played with a small rubber ball in mitti ki gotiyan. btw PMA cadets have to hike all the way to thandiyani n back, on foot as a punishment.with a big pithoo on their backs.
This city is beautiful. I have beent here for a few times but would love to be there again. Ilyasi masjid yaad naheen aa rahee magar Shimla paharee and Thandiani Top are excellent places to visit.

gosh, abbotabad is really beautiful...where abouts is it located in Pak?...isn't it North-west Punjab somewhere???
