Bathroom stuff

Re: Bathroom stuff

so basically your asking who are ganday log and who are unhygenic log ...

aur obviously who ever reply to this thread ..are gonna be the saaf suthrey log ..cos they dunt wana expose themselves as ganday..

..well i just keep in my mind .. k that the Prophet SAW said .. ''at taharatu shatrul iemaan'' ..cleanliness is half of ur faith ..

so be it cleaning in bathrooms or doing hajaamat regularly in bathroom and picking hair up .. or just taking a shower .. is achay log ..

and for those .. as the lota ..is shown above ... you should use the lota .. which can be used efficiantly and easily .. cos if any drops of water which is used ..drop on ur cloths ...becasue of the lota .. ur cloths become na paak ..
so i d recommend the blue plastic lota ..as it is easy to hold and also has a nozzle which is safe to use .. or alternatively .. these days u can have a pipe hooked on to a tap as i see in some paki mosques lol

Re: Bathroom stuff

You're talking about the "muslim shower" eh?

yea thas after the pipe though .. the pipe is for thise who cant afford the muslim shower ..

Re: Bathroom stuff

pipe hooked to a tap..bah
lota is a cultural icon..

and please..the handle on the plastic lota is useless, its not ergonomic, think of the function, think of anatomy, position etc..that handle does jack..

puhleez, i am an expert in this field...lotaology is an area of particular interest. its a much ignored field.

I propose that ergonomically designed lotas be created with non slip surfaces thata re treated with microban so they are naturally antibacteria, and the lota itself is constructed of carbonfibre, graphite or titanium to keep the weight low..

and as far as dem pipe with a spout things, make sure some testing company has certified them, you dont want to ruin your house because while you were away the cheap 10 dollar piece of crap burst and caused 10K worth of damage.

Re: Bathroom stuff

yea thas true .. i remember .. last year in my mates flat here in egypt .. the same situation happened . the pipe had slit and come off the valve cos of water pressure . so we woke up .. in the mornin and the whole flat flooded.. so we had to mop it all up and throw away all the rugs .. luckily the whole fllat floor was tiled ..

erm ther is another thing i seen in egypt .. is that the toilets have a metal pipe fitted inside ..it ..so when ur done u just turn the tap and it comes on like a fountain ... but like those sinks where u turn the tap ..and water gushes up just so it can reach ur mouth to drink water .. so this is an alternative if ppl wana take it

Re: Bathroom stuff

X2, Yes yes, please educate us further.

So what so far, in your research and understanding would you consider the ultimate in lota technology?

hmmm i like tht ideal...this way u dont have to disinfect ur lotas all the time.... :)

Re: Bathroom stuff

Dont have bathroom mats, I find the idea icky and repulsive. The tiles in both our bathrooms are warm since we have hot water pipes running underneath.

The bahtrooms get cleaned everyday, I donot like water stains on the sink and I like the faucets shiny and spotless.

We have showers with glass screens, for the insides, I have this stuff you spray on after everyshower and leave it. Prevents soap mildew etc growing and automatically washes off in the next shower.

For the outisde, Windex every other day

And bleach in the toilets every other day.

Dont use the bathtub, but it gets a hose down every week

Hate air freshners, they smell disgusting. I have melted scents burning in there everyday.

Re: Bathroom stuff

None of the above lotays.

Ewww toilet bhaging.

Re: Bathroom stuff

ick I hate the idea of mats or any kind of rug/carpet in a bathroom :disgust:

Re: Bathroom stuff

toilet I understand but bathroom..its less a question of warm floor more of it not becoming slick so you fall and break your head :D

unless you people use the term bathroom and toilet interchangably

I think of bath mats as being floor towels, they should b washed regularly. They r superb bcos it means u don’t make the floor all wet when step out of bath / shower, bcos when u do that n don’t have a mop to hand, the next person is gonna get wet feet or stomp it everywhere with the ubiquitous bathroom slippers!

NEVER, NEVER use a pedestal mat at the base of the toilet, it is a breeding ground for germs and is disgusting. Pedestal mats r supposed to be used at the base of the basin.

Re: Bathroom stuff

I don't have mats just tile - I have a rug under the sinks area to keep the feet warm because tile is like walking on snow barefoot in winter mornings.

Everything gets cleaned with clorax bleach and comet biweekly

But without bathroom mats the floor of the bathroom gets all wet when you make wudu or step out of the shower. Even when I go to hotels and they dont have mats, I take the towels and lay them down to use as mats because I hate when the water drips all over the floor

Re: Bathroom stuff

so yeah diff between a mat in front of the crapper which is a whole diff story than having a mat, outside the shower, tub or in front of washbasins.

Don’t have any bath mats.
Our bathroom is like one of those washrooms in pakistan, where there’s no tub/separate shower stall. so its just one big drain on the floor so when the shower comes on, everything gets wet. Kinda sucks.

Oh to clean, sink/mirror once a week, toilet every other day, the whole bathroom gets a hose down during every shower.

Hain, how does the floor get wet?? We dry ourselves in the shower and then step out.

Whatever water gets dripped if any gets mopped after the shower.
