Re: Barcelona and Mallorca
^well then keep talking about it! :)
I love churros, will probably have them everywhere I see them!
For a few years I have spent about two months every other year in Barcelona and a small coastal town, north of Barcelona called Blanes, on the costa brava near the French border. I usually go in the end of May and come back early August, before kids start school.
I live in TX and find Northerrn Spain is a great way to beat the Texas heat. The weather is usually around 70 degrees F in the summer. The water is calm and clear. You can snorkel and see schools of fish. I consider it heaven on earth. However, next month it might be a little too cold to get in the water. Also, a warning, all beaches in Spain are topless. If you ride the train along the coast, you will pass some nudist beaches. Just letting you know incase these things are a problem. The public transportation is quite good. Both trains and boat ferries connect little towns. It is great to jump on one and take a day trip to a different beach. The food is great in Spain. Dont forget to try the fish payaya. Also the tapas are quite good. If you are looking for cheap food, the roast chicken with fries was a good bargain. But who wants to eat roast chicken in Spain? I tried the snails but did not like them. If you are looking for some fancy shopping, you might want to try Corte engles. It has a cafe with a view of the city on the top floor. Another interesting place to visit is Montserrat Monastry. There are some breathtaking views from that place. Take a tour and see the black madonna.
Other than that, I do a lot of hunting and shooting, but I doubt the shooting clubs in the region would interest you.
Re: Barcelona and Mallorca
Yeh ur right I'm not into the shooting and hunting but will definitely look into the monastery. Thanks!
