Re: Bangladesh v Ireland - “The clash of the titans” at Kensington Oval on 15 April’)
Is Bangla Desh trying to send some sort of Message? If Pakistan can do that (get thrashed by Ireland), we can do that too (get thrashed by Ireland) ![]()
Did anyone notice that Ireland only won two matches in this world cup? One game they won from Pakistan and other from BD. We should tell Ireland that they actually won only one pre-1971 game, because winning against Pakistan during those days was same as winning Pakistan and BD today together.![]()
Re: Bangladesh v Ireland - "The clash of the titans" at Kensington Oval on 15 April')
Anyways...BD & Ire are out of the WC... :D
Re: Bangladesh v Ireland - "The clash of the titans" at Kensington Oval on 15 April')
Well played Ireland.
Re: Bangladesh v Ireland - "The clash of the titans" at Kensington Oval on 15 April')
Well...This was supposed to be the day when India vs Pak match would have happened and this thread would have been 100 pages long and here we are stuck at page 3.
Re: Bangladesh v Ireland - "The clash of the titans" at Kensington Oval on 15 April')
The main problem with Bangladesh (infact all subcontinental teams barring SLA) is that they lack discipline when it comes to their batting and they did not bowl or field well today either and did not deserve to win.
Well played Ireland
Re: Bangladesh v Ireland - "The clash of the titans" at Kensington Oval on 15 April')
Bangladeshi batsmen played extremely poor shots, very erratic and dull.
Re: Bangladesh v Ireland - "The clash of the titans" at Kensington Oval on 15 April')
Since India lost against Bongalis and Pak lost to Ireland, does it mean after Ireland's win over Bangladesh today that Pak owns India like always (since we lost against a 'better' team)? ;)
Re: Bangladesh v Ireland - "The clash of the titans" at Kensington Oval on 15 April')
why does everyone keep forgetting india-pak matches in WC, Pak ALWAYS loses in WC against India hahah..is baar ki baat chod do :D
Re: Bangladesh v Ireland - "The clash of the titans" at Kensington Oval on 15 April')
I think somehow the irish have a liking for green teams. They beat Pakistan, beat bangladesh and came close to beating SA.
And those who say the victory of ireland here means pakistan is a better team, :) I would say that you guys are suffering from selective amnesia. India was beaten by SL, SL thrashed WI which had beaten Pakistan. So does that make India a better team :D.

^ dude I was only joking
South Africa must be the team most pissed off today after seeing Bongalis go down so meekly against Ireland

BangOlies saying Ireland produced upset win :hehe:
Bangladesh faces their first **upset **of world cup
15 April 2007Ireland dashed Bangladesh’s slim World Cup semifinal hopes after an excellent all-round display handed the debutants a 74-run victory in Bridgetown, Barbados on Sunday.
With this upset win Ireland earned the 12th place in the ICC ODI ranking. The result also gave Ireland their first Super Eights win, leaving both teams on two points each and fighting to avoid finishing at the bottom of the table with one match to play.
