The Communique announcing the Stand Still Agreement and Balochistan’s complete Independence from British. Balochistan became Independent on August 11th 1947 and Balochistan joined the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on 27th March 1948.

Some Balochs are of opinion that Balochs/brahuis lost relative independence in 1948 that they were enjoying as princely state of kalat. It is also a fact that annexation of kalat was forceful, pakistan army actually bombarded kalat fort. If i am not wrong khan of kalat family is still in exile.
