Time and again you always distorted the facts about East Pakistan. In 1971 East Pakistan's Awami League won the election by huge majority. Number of seats they won were enough to make minority government. But Military Janta never wanted Bengalis to rule the country. It was military janta who initiated separation not any separatist party. Killings were done only to suppress Bengalis to rule Pakistan. It was again military janta of 95000 who surrendered their arms infront of Indian general. I don't know why you always blame Bengalis for creation of Bengladesh?
FARID
The 6-point programme tabled by the Awami League in 1966 made it clear that they were intending for East Pakistan to break away.
4 of the points in particular came to mind.
1) Separate currency for east pakistan
2) Seperate banking monetary reserve for East Pakistan, together with seperate monetary and fiscal policies
3) Seperate militia force for East Pakistan.
4) Provinces to be responsible for all tax collection with no federal involvement
If met, the 6 points would have weaked Pakistan's federal structure to the extent that Bengal could break away with ease. No country in the world has ever had such a weak federal structure and remained in one piece!
My Mad brother please read about the incident and then discuss, you can read Tragedy of Errors, Fall of Dhaka etc all written by Pakistanis and contains very useful information for the people like you.
But you never answer my question, why the provinces are so displeased with Centre or Punjab, what are the reasons? GM Syed was strong member of Pak Movement but what happened and there are so many examples, please think there is something wrong somewhere, we must look for a better Pakistan and that too by all the Pakistanis not only by Mad Sahib, let every Pakistani feel proud on his country. At least listen to them, what are they asking from you? May be not a big deal.
I’m not saying that Punjab is not abusing its position as the dominant province in Pakistan. I’m saying that provincial nationalism, and the armed seperatism and rebellion is not the solution, and in fact is a plague that must be stomped upon.
My family are Muhajirs but were passionately against the seperatism of the MQM. I’m proud that men of my family took part in the clean up operation to remove much of that trash.
Pakistan has a political structure in place that has the means, in the long-run (and I mean decades) to achieve change, to address inequalities. The problem is that too many regional political parties want only short-term change and are not willing to peacefully strive for 20-30 years to achive their goals.
If the user is consistently using abusive language then they deserve to be banned. Its what seperates this forum from others… If that thread is turned into nothing mroe then a rumble, then it to should be closed. Its a waste of time and bandwidth..
I never want anyone to get bombed, but what can you expect from a Military govt.
But you have to admit that some of the arguments and problems the Smaller Provinces fell they have are somewhat exagerated or blown out of proprtion. Akbar Baloch for example, seems like a great leader for his people, but if you ever listen to what he has to say, its not all that intelligent or well thought out. His passion comes more from his blind hatered of Punjabis then anything else.
In an interview, Nawab Akbar Baloch said that he against Punjab hegemony, and that Gawadar was an excuse to colonize Balochistan and destory the Baloch culture by Punjabis. When asked why he was against Punjabis living in Balochistan, while Pashtoons were already there living everywhere, and almost making it another Pashtoon Province, why it was ok for Pathans but not Punjabis to live in Balochistan? He said Pathans were ok! Whats the logic here?

So that's what you want, the hegemony of Punjab, anybody talking against the Punjab's hegemony is a Ghaddaar. So if they say that 14 August 1947, was just a change of Master from British to Punjab, I think they will not be wrong. This stupid hegemony is the main problem disturbing you people, sometime you start talking of ennexation of Afghanistan, someime abusing Pakhtoons and Balochs, what a Pakistani you are, we dont need enemy.

Simple, you give them little they will ask for more... Its human nature..
You know about the internal budget of Lahore, and how much they get from the centre, you know the percentage of Punjabis in the differnet department of Pakistan despite the so called Quota System. You know how many non-Punjabi Embassadors are there in the entire wold, representing Pakistan. You know how many Punjabis are there in foriegn counties on official duties and then compare it with the labour of non-Punjabis. you know …
My dear that’s what I want to tell you, that Centre means Punjab only. Anyhow, it is upto you. I can try my level best to convince you people to be a true Pakistani and consider all others as true Pakistanis and that’s all.

This is much much better than raping and killing Muslim Bengalis, looting and destroying, surrendering 95000 to Hindus and finally breaking the Quaid's Pakistan. You need some brain thrapy.
