Loss of mother is great loss indeed. Beacause mothers always pray for her children, it is most powerful prayer in this world and we are saved from many ills due to her prayers.
It is reported that Prophet moses (pbuh) went to talk to God after his mother passed away. God said to him , O Moses be very careful from now on, because you mother is no more, she used to pray for you all the time, as a result you were saved from many calamities.
Prophet Muhammad pbuh said that the most unfortunate person is the one who find either of his parents in old age and does not earn eternal life in heaven by serving them.
May Allah make us serve and obey our parents who faced many hardships in our brought up. May Allah forgive their sins. ameen

I am So sorry, Your mom passed away!! this year has been really bad for you, I still remember myself standing right in front of your pool and you lecturing me about the hazards of smoking and I still smoke.:(
May her soul rest in peace, my deepest condolences to you and your family.
