Is there any particular criteria by which we can decide what's good in a particular culture and whats bad? Or is it more of a case of likes and dislikes?
People have criticized just about everything there is in the Arabic culture. The clothes, the language, the pronunciation.
Ethics of the religion or religion of ethics has always served as a yardstick against which the verdict of being good or bad is arrived at. Virtue and vice are universally discernible

I have an Arabic name, and imo 90% of paki names are ugly.

I like Arabic names, clothes, food and Arabic but I'm going to give my third son a Hebrew name, inshaAllah.

Salim-un-nisa & ashgai begum etc are typical Lucknow names. How about
Allah Rakhi, Jannat Bibi, Sakina, Sughra, Bashirah, Nazirah & many more? ? ? ? or Lado ?

i think Asia is a beautiful name :)
also it sounds good in other dialects
like my mother thinks " mogaduss " is a beautiful name for a girl, but it sounds horrible in the danish dialect :p
but Asia is universal :D

Usually hindus keep this name Anil, sometimes it is hard to tell by a name like this if you're a hindu/indian or Paki/muslim.

So how many correct muslims with the name Anil are in Pakistan and how many hindus with the name Anil are there in India?
It says on google that Anil is a Hindi name, not Urdu or Pakistani name.

What I'm gonna do? I'm gonna make sure that I won't choose the wrong sort of names for my children.
