Baby essentials, shopping, and registries

Re: Baby essentials, shopping, and registries

anyway, back to the topic.

What items is it important to spend a little extra on?
Car seat safety is not an option - it is necessary
we got the preg preggo SIP (side impact protection). haven't had a single problem with it and it is much lighter than the other brands i have seen so far.
Stroller - you don't want to end with a stroller that will break in 4 months happened to some of my friends/co-workers - so in my parental opinion if you can spend the money before hand to avoid any surprises later. we tried so many strollers before but decided to go with the icoo targo travel system - i really wanted something light weight, reliable and for looks. there are many ugly strollers out there

What brands would you recommend as reliable and quality for these items?
I would highly recommend peg perego for safety wise, quality and looks - there isn't that much of a price difference in my opinion

Where would you recommend registering?
I never registered because I knew exactly what I wanted in terms of the bigger items so I really didn't want anyone to spend more than they actually wanted to

What were your favorite shops for baby buys?
dearborn baby - its located in richmond hill, ON - but I have ordered from the online many times too

What stuff does every new parent need to have?
just to what Mehnaz mentioned, baby bottles, make sure you have formula just in case
baby wipes, gripe water * i gave my daughter that since the day she was born, i was so scared of her becoming colic*, disposable change pads (for the times when you are out)

Thats all i can think of for now, you can pm me if you like :) - that way i can give more details
